This book was out before Christmas, not exactly sure when. It is about technology and computer hackers. I think they control people and hack their personal information. It was set in the future. It was fiction/fantasy for teens/young adults. The cover dealt with computers/electricity possibly.

Possibly “Little Brother” by Cory Doctorow? It’s not new, though. I think it came out about three years ago, maybe longer.
